This is a thoroughly immersive experience which takes you into the daily life of Langa, the oldest township in South Africa. Your guide, Sugar, will take you on a walking tour to reveal the rich history of the township, its connection to Apartheid, and its current uplifting initiatives. You will take local transportation, visit a spaza shop, make bracelets with local artists, observe how the Langa women barbeque (braai). You will be invited into a Langa family home where you will enjoy preparing and sharing a light African meal together. This is an opportunity to gain insights into how most South Africans live and support their communities, where a portion of the price goes directly to a kindergarten in Langa.
