This is a thoroughly immersive experience which takes you into the daily life of Langa, the oldest township in South Africa. Your local guide, Sugar, will take you on a walking tour to reveal the rich history of the township, its connection to Apartheid, and its current uplifting initiatives. Your first stop will bring you face to face with uniquely talented local Langa artists. You will take local transportation, visit a spaza shop, observe what the local Langa women barbeque (braai). You will be invited into a Langa family home where you will enjoy a light African meal together. This is an opportunity to gain insights into how most South Africans live and support local communities.
